Administered by Ameren Illinois, through the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.
Ameren Illinois takes $900 off a ducted air-source heat pump, $630 off a ductless one, $1,150 off a heat pump water heater and $1,080 to $4,320 off a geothermal system by size, on the contractor's invoice through participating distributors. Any Ameren Illinois electric customer, any heating fuel, any income.

Who is eligible

- Ameren Illinois electric customers, any heating fuel. The smart thermostat is also open to Ameren gas customers.

- Your contractor buys from a participating Instant Incentive distributor, or is a self-attested Program Ally; there is no customer application.

- The $800 water heater rebate and the thermostat rebate: bought by 31 December, applied for within 60 days of purchase.

- Geothermal systems installed with a gas furnace.
- Central air conditioners: Ameren's 2026-2029 plan dropped market-rate air conditioner rebates in favor of heat pumps.

The thing most pages get wrong
Ameren's own discounts page puts the geothermal discount at $1,350 to $5,400 and links a February 2026 flyer that no longer opens. The June 2026 fact sheet in force pays $1,080 to $4,320 by capacity, plus $500 with a desuperheater.
Propane homes and the thermostat
Ameren's discounts page says propane heat does not qualify for the $115 thermostat discount; its smart thermostat page says customers heating with propane are also eligible. Check with the contractor before counting on it.
No gas furnace rebate at all
Ameren's plan says it will end market-rate furnace rebates after 2027, but none appears on its 2026 product list, and the list's gas water heater link leads to a missing page.
