Atlanta Gas Light rebates open
Administered by Atlanta Gas Light (Southern Company Gas), the delivery utility behind Georgia's certified gas marketers.
Atlanta Gas Light pays up to $1,000 to replace an electric heat pump with a gas furnace, $400 to $500 for a gas water heater replacing electric or propane, and $300 to $400 for a high-efficiency gas furnace replacing an old one, for 2026 while funds last. Customers buy their gas from a certified marketer, but the rebate comes from Atlanta Gas Light.

The thing most pages get wrong
Atlanta Gas Light pays to take heat pumps out: $1,000 to replace an electric heat pump with a gas furnace, and nothing for dual fuel. In the same metro area GreyStone Power pays $600 and Marietta Power $150 or $250 to go the other way, from gas to a heat pump. Which rebate you are offered depends on which company you ask.
Your bill may not say Atlanta Gas Light
Most households in its area buy gas from a certified marketer and see the marketer's name on the bill. The rebates still come from Atlanta Gas Light.
New customers or not?
The conversion page's header says the offer applies only to current customers; the terms directly below say it is available to new and existing customers, and pay new customers the most.
