The thing most pages get wrong
Black Hills' electric insulation rebates are not for every home: 'Home must have a central cooling system to be eligible for the insulation, air sealing, and/or duct sealing rebates.' A gas-heated home without central air should look at Black Hills' gas-side envelope rebates instead, if Black Hills supplies its gas.
Gas-fired heat pumps pay more here
Black Hills' gas program pays $2,390 for a water-to-air gas-fired absorption heat pump and $3,490 for a gas-fired heat pump with gas furnace backup; its electric side pays $2,500 for a cold-climate heat pump.
Two utilities, one name
Black Hills' electric and gas rebates are separate programs with separate forms; which one applies depends on which service Black Hills provides to your home.
