CPS Energy home rebates open

Administered by CPS Energy, San Antonio's city-owned utility, run by CLEAResult.

San Antonio's city utility pays by the ton for a new air conditioner, heat pump or ductless mini-split: $90 to $275 a ton replacing a failed unit, $115 to $310 replacing a working one early. It also pays for attic insulation, cool roofs, pool pumps and window units, and $150 for enrolling a thermostat. It offers no heat pump water heater rebate.

The thing most pages get wrong

CPS Energy's own pages give three pool pump rebates: $50 per horsepower up to $150 on the specifications page, $150 per horsepower up to $150 on the rebates page, and up to $450 on the rebates hub. The hub also says up to $25 for a window air conditioner; the specifications table pays $50 or $75.

No solar rebate listed

CPS Energy's solar page shows its Hosted Solar program as fully subscribed and offers community solar enrollment, but lists no rebate for buying panels.
