The thing most pages get wrong

Whitby's page promotes a rebate that is gone. The Deep Retrofit page says Whitby residents can get up to another $5,000 through the Weather-ready Whitby rebate, but that rebate's own page says it "is now fully subscribed and no longer available to new applicants". Rebate sites also quote the deep-retrofit rebate at up to $10,000; its table stops at $5,000.

When the money arrives: two answers

The loan page offers "an initial disbursement of up to 50% of the eligible funds". The terms on the same site say "Loans are only disbursed upon completion of the project and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation". Ask before you promise a contractor a deposit.
