What disqualifies you

The rules people find out about after the work is done.

  • Window air conditioners under the heating and cooling rebate.
  • Insulation in new construction.

The thing most pages get wrong

The evaporative cooler page says "up to $1,000 per qualifying unit" at the top and $600 a unit in its rebate table, and its Texas page carries a two-rebate limit written for New Mexico accounts. The table is what the application uses.

Early replacement pays a little more

Replacing a working air conditioner or heat pump early pays more than replacing a failed one, up to $476 for an income-qualified household with the largest system.
