Enbridge Gaz Québec rebates open

Administered by Enbridge Gaz Québec, formerly Gazifère, for its customers in Gatineau and the Outaouais.

Enbridge Gaz Québec's rebates for its gas customers in the Outaouais: a dollar-for-dollar match of whatever Rénoclimat pays for insulation and other envelope work, plus $850 for a high-efficiency combination heating system, $500 for a tankless water heater and $450 for an air exchanger. Homes already heated by an electric heat pump cannot get the match.

The thing most pages get wrong

The order of work matters. Because homes heated by a heat pump are excluded from the match, a household that converts to dual energy first, then insulates, loses the match on the insulation. Insulate first, claim the match, then convert.

Énergir pays far less

Quebec's main gas distributor, Énergir, offers homeowners one equipment rebate outside dual energy: $100 toward a smart thermostat, covering at most 75% of its cost, plus $220 for low-income households who apply before installing it.
