Entergy Texas HVAC and home efficiency programs open

Administered by Entergy Texas, under the Public Utility Commission of Texas.

Entergy Texas pays heating and air conditioning distributors $75 to $1,080 for each high-efficiency system sold, and three times the heat pump amount when a heat pump replaces electric resistance heat. It does not pay homeowners directly; the money can be passed on to dealers and their customers. It also runs contractor programs and free A/C tune-ups.

The thing most pages get wrong

Entergy Texas's HVAC page says the program covers systems "16 SEER and higher" and pays "up to $2,700". Its own 2026 table starts at 15.2 SEER2, and three times its largest heat pump amount, $1,080, is $3,240.
