FPL air conditioning and ceiling insulation rebates open

Administered by Florida Power & Light (FPL), through its Participating Independent Contractors.

FPL takes $200 off the invoice for a new central air conditioner or heat pump of 15.2 SEER2 or better, and $220 off ceiling insulation where the attic now has less than R-8, both through its Participating Independent Contractors. Income-qualified customers can get free upgrades worth up to $500.

The thing most pages get wrong

FPL's $220 insulation rebate is only for attics with less than R-8 of insulation now. Duke Energy's starts at R-19 or less and JEA's under R-15, so a Florida attic that would qualify elsewhere often does not qualify with FPL.

That is the whole list

FPL's programs page lists these two rebates, On Call, a solar subscription and new-home programs. It has no heat pump water heater, window or duct rebate.
