The thing most pages get wrong

Waiting lists are the norm. The draft plan for July 2026 to June 2027 funds 301 homes with federal money across all 159 counties: 45 for Fulton, Cobb and six other counties together, and 57 for the 14 counties that include DeKalb and Gwinnett.

No income table from GEFA

GEFA's page says only 200% of the federal poverty level. For 2026 that is $31,920 for one person and $66,000 for four, the same line Georgia Power prints for EASE for Seniors.

LIHEAP helps with the bill, not the house

LIHEAP heating help opens in December for people 65 or older or homebound and in January for everyone, at 60% of state median income ($34,549 for one person). Its policy manual still gives last year's benefit amounts.
