IEEP rebates for municipal electric customers open

Administered by the Independent Energy Efficiency Program (IEEP), for New York's participating municipal electric utilities.

Customers of New York's village and city electric systems, from Endicott and Penn Yan to Lake Placid and Plattsburgh, can get 75% of insulation and air sealing costs back, up to $5,000 a year, through the IEEP, plus heat pump and appliance rebates. Low-income households can have all of it paid, straight to the contractor.

Your village runs it, the IEEP pays it

The IEEP is a nonprofit of New York municipal electric utilities, founded in 2001. Villages post its forms on their own sites, sometimes in different versions, so check the date on the form. NYSERDA's Comfort Home gives municipal electric customers only the assessment.
