What it pays

No published cap — and that is the honest answer

No rebate figure is published because it is not a rebate. You repay $13,500, interest-free, and Efficiency Manitoba covers the rest of an eligible project. It estimates that share at $21,200.

The thing most pages get wrong

The balance is due when you sell. The loan becomes payable when the house is sold or changes ownership, and it cannot be passed to a buyer, unlike Alberta's property-tax financing.

Income-qualified households

Under the Energy Efficiency Assistance Program line, and heated by electricity, the same ground source heat pump is installed free, with no monthly payment.
