The thing most pages get wrong

National Grid's Massachusetts income page still shows last season's limits, labeled the 2025-2026 heating season: $99,573 for four for the free tier and $132,764 for Enhanced. Mass Save's 2026-27 table says $103,049 and $137,399, while Mass Save's own introduction still says a family of four 'with a household income of $132,000 or less' may qualify.

Gas heat is shut out of the bigger heat pump money

The enhanced heat pump rebate requires equipment that replaces or supplements oil, propane or electric baseboard heat, and Mass Save's 2026 sheet says customers with existing natural gas heating 'are not eligible for income qualified rebates'.

The federal rebates are not a separate program here

In 2024 the state energy department planned to fold the federal appliance rebate into these Mass Save offers and has not opened a separate homeowner rebate. A May 2026 federal notice ended fuel switching under that rebate; no state page we read says how Massachusetts will adjust.

A dated table on Cape Light Compact's page

Cape Light Compact shows the new limits, give or take a dollar, under the dates 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. Mass Save labels the same figures the 2026-27 heating season.
