What it pays
No published cap — and that is the honest answer
Evergy publishes no per-system FastTrack amounts for Missouri. Its page says 'a rebate of up to $1,000' for a central air conditioning system in one place and 'rebates of $1,000 or more, depending on which system you choose' in another. The contractor's offer shows the rebate for your project.
- how it is paid
- The rebate is 'factored right into the up-front cost of the system'; you pay part now and the balance through a FastTrack charge on your bill.
- the charge
- It starts about 45 days after installation and includes the balance of the project cost plus a 3% service fee. You can pay it off early with no penalty.
- not a loan
- No credit check. The charge is tied to the house, not to you.
- repairs
- If the system stops working at no fault of yours while you are paying, the program arranges repair or replacement at no charge.
Who is eligible
- who
- Customers on any generally available Missouri residential rate, in a building of four units or fewer, each with its own entrance and meter.
- owners
- If you rent, the owner must sign an Owner Agreement and agree to a property notice on the property records.
- mobile homes
- On a permanent foundation and no more than 35 years old.
- selling the home
- The next owner pays the remaining charge; you must give the buyer's agent the Notice of Tariff Charge first, or pay it off.

The thing most pages get wrong
Evergy's heat pump rebate chart, $500 to $1,000 for an air-source heat pump, is for Kansas: the page says 'Kansas residents could save up to $1,000!' and links to Evergy's Kansas rebate chart. The Missouri chart rebate sites still quote, such as '$650-$1,200 depending on SEER2 tier', is no longer on Evergy's site.
Whole Home PAYS has closed
Evergy's page: 'No new applications are being accepted at this time.' Customers with pending Whole Home applications will be contacted; for heating and air conditioning, Evergy points to FastTrack.
Where the incentives come from
Evergy's terms say it offers the incentives available for residential measures as defined in its MEEIA 4 Demand Side Management Plan.
