The thing most pages get wrong

Some rebate guides put Comfort Partners' income limit at 225% of the poverty line. NJCEP's current table is 250% of the 2026 guidelines: $82,500 a year for a family of four, $39,900 for one person.

Above the line? The utilities' free weatherization

Households from 250% to 400% of the poverty line ($132,000 for four) can get the utilities' Moderate-income Home Weatherization free: up to $14,000 of upgrades and $2,500 of health and safety work at JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric, South Jersey Gas and NJ Natural Gas.

Where the federal money will land

New Jersey plans its federal HEAR money as CP-HEAR, an addition to Comfort Partners that upgrades electric panels and wiring so homes are ready for electric equipment. It has not launched.
