What disqualifies you

The rules people find out about after the work is done.

  • A project modeled to save less than 5%.
  • Work by a contractor outside the utility's program.

Where the application goes

Book the assessment with a participating contractor through your utility; the contractor files the rebate.

The thing most pages get wrong

Rebate guides call this a state program run through NJ Clean Energy. Since the Triennium began, each utility runs it for its own customers, and the rebate grows with the modeled saving: $2,000 at 5%, plus $200 a point, up to $7,500 and never more than half the cost.

Which utility?

Homes with gas from one utility and electricity from another apply through either; NJCEP lists every utility's Whole Home Energy Solutions page.

A program cycle that ends

These offers are part of Triennium 2, budgeted for 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2027.
