A repair loan that disappears

Nothing is repaid while you keep the home: the loan is forgiven at $5,000 a year, so a $15,000 repair is gone after three years.

Below the weatherization line too

A household under 200% of the poverty line can also apply to the state weatherization program and HARRP, which repair or replace heating systems for elderly and disabled households at no cost.
