Piedmont Natural Gas furnace rebates (North Carolina) open

Administered by Piedmont Natural Gas, a Duke Energy company.

Piedmont Natural Gas pays $175 to $325 toward a high-efficiency gas furnace that replaces a gas furnace, for North Carolina residential customers, within 120 days of installation. Its water heater and thermostat rebates ended in mid-2025, though an old rebate form offering them is still online.

The thing most pages get wrong

Piedmont's old Gas Advantage site still posts a 2018 North Carolina rebate form offering water heater rebates of $50 to $200 and a 90-day deadline, and rebate listings repeat it. Since 1 July 2025 Piedmont pays for furnaces only, and the deadline is 120 days.

A dead tax credit link

The current rebate page still invites customers to learn about the federal tax credit for furnaces, which ended with 2025.
