Silicon Valley Clean Energy home rebates open

Administered by Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE), a community choice aggregator in Santa Clara County.

SVCE pays $2,500 for a heat pump water heater and $2,000 for a heat pump replacing gas, with up to $1,000 more per appliance for income-qualified households, plus induction, wiring and panel rebates. Four cities add their own money on top.

The thing most pages get wrong

SVCE's own rebates page says a limited-time $500 extra on heat pump water heaters "is back" for September to October 2026, and further down the same page that it "has now expired". Its heat pump page still tells higher-income households there is "no need to wait for the state rebates" up to 150% of area median income; those HEEHRA rebates have been fully reserved since February 2026.

Full Service Home Upgrades

SVCE also runs a managed service with vetted contractors that handles assessment, installation, permits and rebates; income-qualified households get it at no cost. Qualified SVCE customers in BayREN's EASE Home are enrolled in it automatically.
