What it finances

  • Geothermal, air-source or dual-fuel and mini-split heat pumps
  • Central air conditioning
  • Heat pump water heaters
  • Insulation, air sealing, and duct sealing and insulation, only with a heating and cooling upgrade

All upgrades must be installed by Quality Contractor Network members. TVA's FAQ says financing 'may be available' for rebate-eligible upgrades; check with your power company.

The thing most pages get wrong

This is a loan, not a rebate, and not every power company offers it: TVA says to 'see if your local power company offers financing'. The rate is fixed but not published on TVA's page; ask for it before comparing with a bank loan.

Insulation alone does not qualify

TVA's financing covers insulation, air sealing and duct work only when they are paired with a heating and cooling upgrade. On their own they can still get TVA's $300 rebates.
