The thing most pages get wrong

Appalachian Power's Virginia lists pay more for central air than for heat pumps. An ENERGY STAR central air conditioner earns up to $700; a ductless mini-split up to $300 or $400; and neither list includes a rebate for a ducted, central heat pump.

Free weatherization below 60% of state median income

Appalachian Power's Low Income Weatherization Program installs weatherization free for households at or below 60% of state median income, supplementing the state's program.
