What it pays

Paused until further notice

The thing most pages get wrong

The Energy Branch's own heat pump, insulation and window pages still advertise it as low-cost funding you can use. Its programme page says applications are paused until further notice.

What it offered

25% of the property's assessed value, up to $50,000 for a home, for upgrades that cut energy use by at least 20%, repaid as a local improvement tax over up to 15 years at the Bank of Canada rate, with a $500 fee.

If you do not qualify

The Yukon Housing Corporation's Home Repair Program lends up to $70,000 to households under $135,750.
