Fix First Home › Home Energy Loan Program (Saskatoon)

Home Energy Loan Program (Saskatoon) open

Administered by the City of Saskatoon.

Saskatoon's retrofit loan, repaid on the property tax bill: $1,000 to $40,000, or $60,000 for a project that halves the home's energy use, at 3.24% to 4.83% in 2026 depending on the term. It covers heat pumps, which nothing province-wide does.

The thing most pages get wrong

The loan is secured by a lien on the property. That is how it transfers to a buyer, and it is why the City asks you to read its lien factsheet before applying.
